ITA Services Centre in Morant Bay will close on Thursday due to a planned power supply interruption

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Island Traffic Authority (ITA) is informing members of the public that its Service Centre in Morant Bay, in St Thomas, will be closed to the public on Thursday, 24 September 2026, due to a planned interruption in electricity supply.

According to ITA in a press release, Jamaica Public Service (JPS) informed that the area will experience an interruption in power supply while works are carried out on the line network.

As a result, the authority said its service centre will not be open to the public during this period, and customers who need ITA services are advised to visit ITA service centres in neighbouring parishes.

Full service at the site is scheduled to resume on Friday, 25 September 2026, at 8 h 30.

ITA apologizes for the inconvenience caused and said it appreciates the public's understanding and cooperation while necessary works are carried out.
